Abhiyaan Foundation, established in 2017, is a registered non-profit organization driving sustainable and scalable social impact through skill development, livelihood generation, and community development. Registered under the Charity Commissioner and the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA), the organization aligns its interventions with CSR mandates, ESG frameworks, and national development priorities.

With an outcome-driven approach, Abhiyaan empowers underserved youth and women across rural and urban geographies through focused interventions in Livelihoods, Skill Development, Education, Healthcare, and Community/Rural Development. Its programs emphasize industry-aligned training, entrepreneurship development, and market linkages, enabling access to decent employment and sustainable income opportunities.

Through strong corporate partnerships, government convergence, and community engagement, Abhiyaan Foundation is building a robust ecosystem that bridges the gap between skills and economic opportunities, delivering measurable social return on investment (SROI).

Our Interventions

LIVELIHOOD

AF is committed to improving the livelihoods of youth and women by providing vocational skills through targeted training programs. Our initiatives focus on capacity building and skill development to enhance employability. In partnership with corporate CSR, we offer comprehensive training in business fundamentals and product creation via Self-Help Groups (SHGs), with ongoing support for up to one year post-training. We also collaborate with various SHGs to train participants in income-generating activities such as tailoring, candle making, soap production, baking, jewelry making, handicrafts, home décor, corporate gifting, and masala production, while promoting these initiatives to increase visibility and support.

SKILL DEVELOPMENT & EDUCATION

AF is committed to skill development and education through diverse vocational training programs that prepare youth for employment or self-employment. We provide placement opportunities and comprehensive training, including theoretical knowledge, practical experience, field visits, soft skills development, sessions with industry experts, and digital literacy, ensuring participants are job market-ready. Trainees receive certification from NSDC or MSBSVET upon completion. We provide training in various sectors, including Logistics, IT, Retail, Beauty & Wellness, Handicrafts, Management & Entrepreneurship, BFSI, Apparel Made Ups, Healthcare, Infrastructure, Telecom, Capital Goods, Tourism & Hospitality, and Electronics. Additionally, we support school dropouts through tutoring and provide career guidance programs in schools and colleges, where volunteers mentor students in their career development. Our initiatives also include the distribution of books, school kits, uniforms, food, scholarships for meritorious students, infrastructure development in schools, and medical camps.

COMMUNITY/RURAL DEVELOPMENT

AF focuses on community development by implementing engagement programs that are specifically designed in consultation with community members. This collaborative approach ensures that the unique challenges faced by each community are addressed effectively, allowing for tailored solutions that promote holistic development. Through these initiatives, AF aims to empower communities, enhance their capacities, and foster sustainable growth.

ENVIRONMENT CONSERVATION PROGRAM

AF is actively engaged in an environmental conservation program aimed at promoting sustainable practices and protecting natural resources. Our initiatives focus on raising awareness about environmental issues, implementing conservation strategies, and fostering community involvement. Through collaboration with local stakeholders, we strive to create a positive impact on the environment while empowering communities to take an active role in preserving their ecosystems.

2017 – Foundation of Women Livelihood Initiatives

  • Empowered 700 women in Palghar through training in candle making, soap making, and embroidery
  • Enabled beneficiaries to initiate home-based micro-enterprises

2018 – Expansion of Skill-Based Livelihood Programs

  • Trained 750 women in Kandivali and Tardeo in candle making
  • Conducted Artificial Jewellery training for 1000 women, promoting self-employment and income generation

2019 – Diversification of Skill Development Programs

  • Trained 600 women in Malad in garment stitching and utility product manufacturing
  • Skilled 300 women in embroidery & Zardoshi work
  • Trained 300 women in home décor product creation
  • Conducted Terracotta Jewellery training for 300 women, supporting artisan-based livelihoods

2021 – Multi-Regional Skill Development

  • Trained 150 women in Mumbai & Navi Mumbai in baking and food entrepreneurship
  • Empowered 250 women in Jammu & Kashmir with crochet-based livelihood skills

2022 – Youth Employability & Industry-Aligned Training

  • Trained 2000 youth across Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Thane, and Raigad
  • Focus sectors: Logistics, IT, BFSI, Beauty & Wellness
  • Focus on job readiness and industry placement

2023 – Scale & Market Integration

  • Impacted 2500 women and youth across Palghar, Navi Mumbai, and Raigad

2024 – Large-Scale Livelihood Intervention

  • Trained 4000 beneficiaries across Thane, Palghar, Navi Mumbai, and Raigad
